Society Through Legal Aid Institute (LBH) Southeast Sulawesi will bring the matter to the legal channels. Director of the Legal Aid Society of Kendari Anselnas A.R. Masiku said the public has a strong base.
Old Town evictions are not in conformity with the Act No. 2 of 2012 on land acquisition for public interest. Anselnas said the provincial government could not enforce eviction by storing compensation in court.
"There are still many chapters that must be passed by the provincial government, such as legal certainty, transparency, justice, welfare, it must complete all" he said, Thursday (02/26/2015).
Anselnas said the most important thing in law is public consultation. It was not done by the provincial government. The public consultation that people do not agree then it must be repeated again. The process is about 4 to 5 times.
If the provincial government continues to force eviction of the old city is the result of criminal abuse of authority and destruction. Anselnas with the community have expressed reservations on the Commission, the Ministry of Public Works, the President, whereas for administrative violations have been submitted also to the ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia.
